Removed by Death
Once again we have to record the death of one who had professed Christ for many years. Mr John Angus MacLeod, who had been an elder in Glasgow since 1962, passed away on January 6. We give our sympathy to his family and again express the wish that many others would be raised up to take the place of those who were witnesses for Christ on earth.
Notice from Northern Presbytery
The Northern Presbytery intimates that at its meeting on 8 August 2000, the Rev D M Boyd was suspended sine die following his confession of improper conduct unbecoming a minister of the gospel.

Visits Abroad
It is intended, God willing, that in March Rev D A Ross and Mr Lucio Strata will visit Fornaci di Barga in Italy. During that time public worship will be held in a hired room as well as meetings in the home of one of the families belonging to the small group whom we as a Church have time to time endeavoured from to supply with gospel ordinances. Later on, in May or June, it is hoped that Mr Lucio Strata will again visit Italy, when he will conduct public worship. We ask that you would remember this small work at the throne of grace, pleading that the Spirit of God would accompany the preaching of the gospel.
Other visits abroad were mentioned in last month’s magazine. Rev R MacLeod is expected to return in February from visits to Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. The Dominion and Overseas Committee is indebted to him for giving of his time to this important work. We ask that our people would go on remembering this work in prayer, and also the visits of Revs Angus Smith and Keith Watkins to Chesley and Texas.
