Famine in Zimbabwe
The people of the Church will know that Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries are suffering from a prolonged and serious drought which has blighted crops for yet another year. The situation is so severe and affects so many that it requires international action and we as a Church can only help in our own Mission localities. Mission money has already been used to buy grain – though finding grain is also a real difficulty. The Foreign Mission Committee has decided to open a Famine Relief Fund for Zimbabwe and contributions to this Fund should be sent to the General Treasurer.
