Kafr Metrical Version of the Psalms.
The following extract from the proceedings of the Synod of Kaffaria (United Free Church of Scotland, South African Mission) has been sent by the Rev. J. Lennox, Clerk of Synod to Rev. N. Cameron:—“Metrical Version of the Xosa Psalms—Dr. Henderson reported that in conjunction with the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland a Metrical Version of the Psalms in Xosa had been prepared, mainly by the Rev. J. K. Bokwe with the assistance of the late Mr. W. Kobe, and that it was hoped to have this published through the financial assistance of the Free Presbyterian Church. It was resolved to express indebtedness to the Free Presbyterian Church for this service to the common cause in South Africa.”
