Spiritual Help

This part of the site seeks to give assistance to those who seek help on spiritual matters.

Do read How to Find Spiritual Help first, where some helpful guidelines are given. The usual way in which many people use the internet is not the best way to seek spiritual help. But rightly used, the internet can help in the same way that spiritual books, magazines and gospel tracts have helped many souls over the centuries.

The two great issues confronting souls on their way to eternity are addressed at these links:

  • How may a sinner be saved?
  • How may someone know if they are truly saved?

A number of books, which have proven of immense help to many, are available for reading online:

  • The Anxious Inquirer, by John Angell James
  • The Christian’s Great Interest, by William Guthrie
  • The Almost Christian Discovered, by Matthew Mead

In addition, a serialisation of John Owen’s great treatise on spiritual-mindedness – an absolute necessity in this day of abounding worldliness – may be found at the following link:

  • The Grace and Duty of being Spiritually Minded Declared and Practically Improved, by John Owen
