Day of Prayer.
The Synod of the Church, in May, made the following appointment: “That Wednesday, 19th September or Thursday the 20th, be observed as a day of Humiliation and Prayer throughout the Church, on account of continued low state of true religion and the need of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the land.”
