It has been brought to the notice of the Editor of the Church History that some words on page 186 are not wholly accurate. These are, “Mr MacKenzie did not reply.” Two days before the expiry of the time limit set by the Synod, Mr MacKenzie sent a letter and two documents to the Clerk of Synod. A correct account of this detail would therefore read, “Mr MacKenzie did not comply with the requirements of the Synod Resolution, and his ministry, etc.” The Editor regrets this error which occurred in the process of rewriting in shorter form a more detailed account.
