The Synod meets, the Lord willing, during the month of May. During the days appointed for this meeting, ministers and elders from our congregations at home and abroad will meet together to consider matters affecting the interests of Christ’s Cause among us. Often the brethren have to deal with difficult matters and have to try to resolve them. In view of this, what need there is that they might receive light and guidance from on High so that they might do all things according to God’s mind and will. We would ask the praying people of the Church to plead with the Lord that the brethren might be so guided and that the Lord may grant a gracious spirit of love and unity among them as they meet together. Wherever the Lord’s servants meet together to seek to advance the interests of Christ’s Cause in the world, there we can expect Satan to be active in trying to overthrow that work and in seeking to create trouble and discord. We would ask, therefore, that prayer would be offered that Satan might be kept at bay and his schemes frustrated.
