Church Deputy to Canada
Rev. Alex. MacPherson, accompanied by his wife, expected to leave for Chesley, Ontario, on 31st March, to supply the congregation there for several Sabbaths. They expect to return on 15th May (D.V.). We request the prayers of the Lord’s people that Mr MacPherson’s labours in that part may be blessed of the Lord to the good of never-dying souls, and also that Mr and Mrs MacPherson may be brought home in safety in due course.
Rev. D. M. MacLeod, Auckland’s Illness
The last report we heard of Mr MacLeod was that, though weak, he was able to get dressed and also go out to Church to take part in the services. Mr MacLean, Glasgow, who has spent four weekends in New Zealand, is expected to return early in April (D.V.). We know that the Lord’s people will continue to bear Mr MacLeod upon their spirits at a throne of grace. We trust, too, that Mr MacLean will be brought back in safety and that his labours in New Zealand will be blessed of the Lord.
