The Moderator of the Irish Presbyterian Church refused to meet the Pope while he was in Ireland. It was particularly on the grounds of the institution of the Papacy and because of the mariolatry of the Roman Catholic Church that Rev. Dr William Craig decided to take this stand. He is to be commended for it. When a former Pope visited Australia a few years ago the Anglican Archbishop of Sydney also declined to meet him. On account of his stand he was much vilified. It would be good if other Church leaders would follow suit.
