The Broadcasting Standards Council which acts as a TV watchdog are pressing for programmes on sex and violence not to be shown until after 10 pm rather than 9 pm as at present. In view of the increase in rape and violence in the country it would be well if proper research were done as to how much of this stems from such TV programmes. TV producers wishing to extend the limits further and further hold up their hands in horror at the suggestion of any connection between the two. The Great Day of Judgment may show otherwise. A return to proper moral standards is called for and that all such programmes be banned.
