Notice to conveners and clerks of Standing Committees

THE conveners and clerks of all standing committees of synod should note that all committee reports must be in the hands of the Clerk of Synod by Tuesday, 25th March, 1996, for printing purposes. These reports should contain information about the work of the committees during the year. Recommendations and proposals should be sent as separate items for the Synod Agenda.

Zimbabwe Mission Vacancies

APPLICATIONS are invited for the following vacancies on the Zimbabwe Mission:

  1. At John Tallach Secondary School, Ingwenya,
  2. Graduate teacher.
  3. Nurse, or someone with a business qualification.
  4. Maintenance person.
  5. At Mbuma Mission Hospital, Nkayi:
  6. Nurse.
  7. Administrator or nurse with management training.

Application should be made in the first instance to: The Clerk of the Foreign Mission Committee, The Rev J. R. Tallach, Free Presbyterian Manse, Raasay, Kyle IV40 8PB.

Fort William Congregation Communion

THE sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be dispensed in the congregation on the second Sabbath of April, God willing; and the communion services therefore will be held from Thursday 10th April to Monday 14th April, in the Red Cross Hall, Inverlochy, as follows:

Thursday …….. 7.00 pm
Friday ………… 11.00 am
Saturday …….. 6.00 pm
Sabbath …….. 11.00 am and 6.30 pm
Monday ………… 7.00 pm

The Rev. A. McPherson, Perth, Interim Moderator of the congregation, is expected to conduct the services.

Church Deputy to Australia and New Zealand

THE Rev. George Hutton, Broadford, will leave on 10th March, D.V., to visit our congregations in New Zealand and Australia for a period of eight weeks. It is expected that he will return on 8th May. We wish him the Lord’s protection in all his travels, and the Lord’s blessing on all his work there. ☐

Wellington (New Zealand) Communion.

IN view of the Rev. G. Hutton’s visit to Australia and New Zealand during March and April, the Wellington Elders have decided to bring the Wellington communion forward to the third Sabbath of April so that it is possible to have Mr. Hutton’s assistance at the communion season. The usual services connected

with the communion season will commence on Thursday 17th April, D.V.

Dingwall Congregation Communion

THE Dingwall and Beauty congregation Kirk Session has decided that the date of the Spring Communion in Dingwall be changed from the first to the second Sabbath of February.

THE Edinburgh Kirk Session has decided to change the time of the winter communion in the congregation from the third Sabbath in November to the fourth Sabbath in October, D.V.

IT has been decided by the Kirk Session that the date of the communion be moved back from the third to the second Sabbath of September, D.V.
