Near Croydon a new Ecumenical Church has been built at a cost of £127,000 which will be shared by R.C.’s, Methodists, Baptists, the Church of England, and the United Reformed Church. Such a venture will be welcomed by ecumenicalists as hastening the day when all shall meet together as one body. It is certain in which direction all these ecumenical schemes are tending — certainly not in an evangelical direction but towards the Church of Rome.
