This book was written for both young adults and those of any age who have recently made a profession of saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It deals with such crucial topics as the importance of private prayer, the careful study of the Bible and of the need for self-examination.
Jared Waterbury explaining his intention in writing to those who have recently made a profession says, ‘Taking for granted, that you do not make this profession on slight grounds, nor with inadequate or erroneous views; my object will be to urge you to the formation of an elevated Christian character.’
Although written primarily for those who have made a recent profession, we believe this book would be of benefit to any Christian as they seek to walk closer with God.
