Ballifeary House is a two-storey building attractively situated in a quiet area of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish Highlands, within walking distance of the centre of the city. Ballifeary caters for those who for various reasons cannot continue to live in their own home but who are still able to appreciate and enjoy a private room within a comfortable, companionable and caring Christian atmosphere.

The house is a 19th century stone-built Listed building. It was purchased by the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland in 1964 as the Church’s Residential Care Home. It has been extended and totally refurbished in 2002 and caters for up to 24 residents. It stands within its own grounds on the banks of the River Ness commanding a beautiful view of the river and its surrounding area.
The staff comprise a matron, assistant matron, senior care assistants, a good number of care assistants, catering, domestic and laundry staff, a handyman, activities organisers and an administrator. The oversight of the Home is in the hands of a Committee appointed by the Synod, the Supreme Court of the Church. The Committee consists of ministers and elders and includes those with medical qualifications and business experience.
The Home has a large lounge, dining room, garden room and small sitting room along with 24 single en-suite bedrooms. There are also 2 bathrooms with bath hoists and a shower room.
Family worship is held in the Home morning and evening which residents and staff attend. A relay system brings the services from the Inverness congregation of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland to the Home for those who cannot attend Church.
