Day of Humiliation and Prayer.—It was appointed by the Free Presbyterian Synod, held on the 7th July last, that Thursday, the 8th day of October, be held (God willing) as a public Day of Humiliation and Prayer throughout the congregations of the Church, for the moral and religious condition of the country.

The London Mission.—The Free Presbyterian services in London are being presently conducted by Mr. John Mackay, missionary, Greenock: English at 11 a.m.; Gaelic at 3.30 p.m.; and English at 7 p.m. Rev. Ewen Macqueen, Dornoch, is expected (p.v.) to conduct the services for several Sabbaths, beginning with the third Sabbath of October.
