In connection with the dispensation of the Lord’s Supper on Sabbath, 1st December, 1957, the following services have been arranged (D.V.), to be conducted by the Rev. James A. Tallach, Stornoway, and the Rev. Alexander Murray, M.A., Applecross: Thursday, 28th November, 7 p.m.; Friday, 29th November, 3.30 p.m. (Gaelic), and 7 p.m. (Fellowship Meeting); Saturday, 30th November, 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. (Prayer Meeting); Sabbath, 1st December, 11 a.m., 3.30 p.m. (Gaelic), (with English Service simultaneously in Bridewell Hall, London City Mission, Eccleston Place), and 7 p.m. Monday, 2nd December, 3.30 p.m. (Gaelic) and 7 p.m. For the benefit of those living in outlying districts we may state that all the week-day services will be held in the Bridewell Hall, and only the Sabbath services in St. Michael’s Hall, at 11 a.m.

Glendale Church Appeal.
The present Free Presbyterian Church in Glendale, Isle of Skye, was built about thirty-seven years ago after their previous church had been blown down during a severe gale. The new church was roofed with asbestos slates which were never meant for a permanent building, and which have now become so worn as not to be able to keep the rain out, and the Deacon’s Court have decided to have the church re-slated. While they have every confidence that the congregation will do their utmost to meet with the expenses connected with this work, they know that, owing to the high price of material and labour, they
are not able to accomplish their object for a number of years, during which, the building will deteriorate considerably. They, therefore, appeal to friends outside the congregation, and especially those who have a connection with the congregation, and who are resident in other parts of the country and abroad, to come to their help as the Lord will lay to their hand. Contributions will be thankfully acknowledged —by Rev. John Colquhoun, F.P. Manse, Glendale, Skye, and by Mr. Alexander MacLean, Fasach, Glendale, Skye.

Alteration of Jewish and Foreign Mission Fund.
At the Synod in May, 1957, Rev. D. J. Matheson moved and Rev. D. Campbell seconded, “That at the close of the current financial year the title of the “Jewish and Foreign Missions Fund” be altered to “Foreign Missions Fund” and that a fund entitled “Mission to the Jews Fund” be hereby authorised, this to be intimated in the Church Magazine forthwith.—Robert R.
