LEIS AN URR. TEARLACH C. MAC AN TOISICH, D.D.

(Air a leantuinn bho. t.d. 217.)

A Chriosduidh! tha bean Shamaria ‘n a h-eisimpleir dhuit-sa, agus ma dh’fhoillsich Se E Fein dha t-anam, cha d’rinn E so air do sgàth-sa a mhàin, ach a chùm gu ‘moladh tu a shlainte agus a shlighean do mhuiintir dìle. Ged a dh’fhaodas nach eil thu comasach air mòran a labhàirt mu Chriosd, faodaidh tu a mholadh le beagan fhocal a labhàirt na thràth ri do cho-pheacachd bhochda; agus faodaidh tu a mholadh le caithe-beatha a reir a shoisgeil, caithe-beatha iorasal, fhaicealaich, ghràdhaich, naomha; faodaidh tu an cuireadh gu Crìosd a dhearbhadh, agus gu tighinn agus coinneachadh Ris far an do gheall E coinneachadh r’a shluagh agus am beannachadh. Agus bi cinnteach as a so, gu’m faigh thu cridhe agus neart air son na h-obair so, dìreach mar a bhitheas tu beo fodh fhéin-fhiosrachadh cumhachd focal Chriosd.

Tha bean Shamaria ‘n a h-eisimpleir dhuinn mar mhinisteirean. ‘S e so ‘n obair mhòr—a bhi cur ar co-pheacachd gu Iosa. Cia beannaicht’, a dh’aindeoin na duiligheadasan agus na ualaichean, a tha ‘n obair, anns am bheil sinn gu ceart a saothrachadh, ‘n uair, ann a bhi seilbheachadh co-chomunn ris an t-Slànuighear agus a mothachadh ëifeachd a shoisgeil, a dh’fhaodas sinn a ràdh, “An ni a chunnaic agus a chuala sinn, tha sinn a’ cur an cèill duibhse.” O ‘s e ar nàire, am feadh a tha leithid de theachdaireachd ghlòrmhor againn gu bhi labhàirt oirre, nach eil ar cridheachan a ghnàth lasadh an taobh a stigh dhìnn, agus gu’n abair sinn cho beag gu bhi co-eigneachadh ar co-pheacaichibh gu tighinn gu Criosd fhaicinn. Ach so chanadh-mid an diugh; ris an naomh, Thig agus coinnich ri Iosa, chùm agus gu’n toir E dhuit as ùr deoch dhe’n uisge sin a bhitheas ‘n a “thobar uisge ann, a sruthadh suas chum na beatha maireannaich,” agus ris a pheacach, “O thig gu Iosa ‘n a fhocal chùm agus gu’n innis E dhuit ciod e thu, ciod a bha thu deanamh, c’ait am bheil thu dol, ciod e t-fheum, cia mar is urrainn thu bhi air do thearnadh, maitheanas fhaotainn, bhi air t-fhìreanachadh, agus a bhi beannaichte gu bràth.
