Miss J. MacKay, M.A., who has done such useful work already in the Mission School at Ingwenya, made known to the Committee that if no one came forward to undertake Secondary School work she would return to the Mission Field once more. No one having come forward, the Committee called upon Miss MacKay and she willingly resigned her post at home and sets off for Rhodesia on 12th February aboard the “Rhodesia Castle.” The Committee are much indebted to Miss MacKay and warmly wish her the Lord’s blessing in her work.
The Committee would remind teachers in our Church that there are still vacancies in Zenka and Mbuma Schools and any who feel that they have a mind to engage in this work should communicate with the Clerk of the Committee.
The new Secondary School opened on 21st January. As Miss MacKay is going out, Miss MacCuish is being transferred to this part of the work through which a still larger number of young Africans will be brought into contact with the Word of God. The results will only be fully known to Him Who has said, “So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Is. 55, 11). Our earnest prayer should be that much fruit would be seen to His glory.
