A number of friends in Scotland receive from The Inheritance Publishers, P.O. Box 334, Grand Rapids 1, Michigan, U.S.A., printed copies of single sermons by one or other of the eminent Puritan divines. The sermons are neatly printed, good type, good paper, with paper covers, and this allows of them being inserted in an ordinary business envelope. Let us here quote a statement from The Inheritance Publishers: “The Inheritance Publishers are now in their 23rd year. They send their publications to readers in the United States and several foreign countries. This work is carried on only by means of the contributions and donations of our readers. We are strictly a non-profit organisation and all work is done on a voluntary basis. All donations are used for further distribution of the truth and no money is paid out in salaries.” As we write this note, we have before us the neat little publication of a sermon by the godly divine Thomas Watson, on text: Isaiah 64: 7 ” . . . stirring up ourselves to take hold of God.” The title of the sermon is “Provocation to Duty.” We thought that some of our readers might like to send for copies of their sermons to The Inheritance Publishers, and thus derive benefit from their commendable activities.
