The Western Presbytery of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, convened at Kyle of Lochalsh on the 25th day of November, 1958, took note of the fact that this year marks the Jubilee of one of their number, the Rev. D. N. MacLeod, Ullapool, as an ordained minister, having been ordained for the Canadian Mission Field by the Southern Presbytery in St. Jude’s Hall, Glasgow, on the first day of June, 1908. We note with humble gratitude to the Lord that our brother is still able, in his own congregation, to proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ to perishing sinners, and pray that his labours be greatly blessed so that, while in common with every true ambassador of Christ, he may often be sowing in tears, the promise might be fulfilled in his case that he “shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalm cxxvi. 6.
We would desire and pray for him much of the fellowship of a Triune God in the evening of his day, and an abundance of that grace which is sufficient for him and the strength which is made perfect in his weakness.
