At the time of writing friends in the Church at home have been anxious and worried over the news that Rev. James Fraser, of our Southern Rhodesian Mission, has been lying very unwell in hospital at Bulawayo. It has been reported that he was suffering from Typhoid fever. This unexpected affliction called for the cancellation of the bookings on board ship on behalf of Mr. Fraser, his wife and family, who were expected to leave for home at the beginning of January. We feel very much for them as a family, in this trying adversity; and along with many friends at home and members of our Mission in Rhodesia we trust and pray that the Most High, for the sake of Jesus Christ, will recover Mr. Fraser of his sickness and restore him to health and his characteristic vigour to serve his Master as in the past.
Since writing the aforesaid lines, we are thankful to the Lord, that we can report that there has been a definite improvement in Mr. Fraser’s health.
