Arrival home of Rhodesian Staff

Rev. D. Campbell, Zenka, his wife and family, and Miss Rhoda MacKay, Ingwenya, arrived safely in Glasgow, on 10th December, after a safe and comfortable flight from Rhodesia to Britain in the kind providence of the Lord. We hope they will have a pleasant furlough among the friends in Scotland. — D. MacLean.

Aberdeen Hall — An Appeal

Our small congregation recently formed at Aberdeen have now acquired premises which they hope to convert into a small place of worship. The congregation is composed mainly of students from different parts of the Church, studying at Aberdeen, and this year, with the uncertainty of gaining places in the Universities in the south, where our Church is to be found, more students than ever have turned to Aberdeen. A few people of the church have settled in the town, and the prospects are that more will follow, when it becomes known that there is a Free Presbyterian place of worship in Aberdeen, where regular services are conducted. Necessary alterations, added to the price of the building, will bring the total cost, it is thought, to no less than £1,300.

The Northern Presbytery have taken a deep interest in the Aberdeen congregation from its inception, and wish to appeal to our sympathetic people throughout the Church to give what assistance they can to clear off this debt. It would be a great encouragement to this small congregation should the response be generous and timely.

Contributions may be sent to Mr Wm. MacKenzie, “Deebank”, Crown Drive, Inverness, who has been appointed Treasurer, and any sum, however small, will be duly acknowledged in the F.P. Magazine.

D. A. Maclean, Moderator.
A. F. Mackay, Clerk.
