The Blythswood Tract Society and Open-Air Religious Services
With respect to a letter, dated September 21st 1967, from the above Society, enquiring whether the Southern Presbytery would have any objections to their holding open-air religious services, the Southern Presbytery unanimously approved of the proposal, at the same time emphasising to the Society the necessity of the worship being in accordance with the standards of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland.

Bracadale Manse Appeal
At a meeting of the Bracadale Kirk-session on 24th November 1967, a tender was accepted for renovating and repairing the Bracadale Manse. Work on this project, at a cost of close on £5,000 is about to commence (D.V.). The Kirk-session would appeal to friends throughout the Church to help the people of Bracadale by contributing to the Manse Repair Fund. Donations will be gratefully received by Mr Donald Morrison, 5 Satran, Carbost, by Portree, or Mr Duncan Y. MacKinnon, Struan Mor, Struan, by Portree.

Deputy for Rhodesia
The last Deputy who visited the Mission in Rhodesia recommended that a Deputy should be sent every five years. The Committee in discussing this recommendation, however, decided that every three years would be the better period. The Committee approached the Rev. A. F. MacKay, M.A., Inverness, and he has agreed to pay a visit to the various Mission Stations for three months’ duration. Mr MacKay will leave by air on 1st February (D.V.) and is booked to leave Cape Town on the journey home on 1st May, on the “Edinburgh Castle.” The Committee hope this visit will be beneficial to the Mission and look forward with interest to Mr MacKay’s report in due course. The Lord’s people are asked to remember him in their prayers.
