The Committee have been giving consideration to the necessity of having some suitable person with professional training in business and administration on their staff in Southern Rhodesia.
With the arrival of Dr Tallach and the consequent extension of the Hospital by the addition of a theatre and x-ray units and the expansion of Mission work generally, the need for such a person becomes imperative so that other members of the staff, including Dr Tallach, can be set free to carry on their respective tasks unhampered by the necessity of spending time on administrative details for which they have received no training.
The post would include the Clerkship of the Field Committee which is responsible for the efficient running of the Hospital, Schools and Transport together with the post of Treasurer involving the handling of all finance and the keeping of complete sets of books.
The normal three year contract with paid passage to and from Rhodesia and six month’s paid leave at the conclusion of the contract would be offered to a successful applicant. The question of salary would naturally depend on qualifications and circumstances.
The Committee would be glad to hear from any person in the Church with a genuine spiritual interest in missionary work and possessing the necessary qualifications who feels led to serve the Mission in this capacity.
Applications should be addressed to the Clerk of the Committee, Rev. Donald MacLean, 13 Kingsborough Gardens, Glasgow W.2.
