We deplore the disrespect shown by a section of the students at Stirling University to Her Majesty the Queen when visiting the University recently. The action of these students is symptomatic of the general decline in standards of courtesy and respect for authority. The indiscipline and lack of patriotic feeling so apparent in certain circles at the present time is not altogether to be wondered at when the leaders of the nation do so little to instill these principles in the people. It may become apparent to all before very long that the security and maintenance of our Protestant Throne is bound up with those Christian principles which are being progressively abandoned by a nation in spiritual and moral decline.
