Prime Minister’s visit to the Pope — Outer Isles Presbytery Protest
We, the Outer Isles Presbytery of the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland, convened at Stornoway, on 14th November 1972, protest most emphatically against the visit of the Prime Minister to the Pope. The Protestant Constitution of this country, embodied in the Revolution Settlement and Bill of Rights, forbids all communion with the Papal See. In his book, “The Vatican against Europe”, Edmund Paris, an R.C. Frenchman, proves, from documents, that the Papacy was largely responsible for the two great world wars. “In her was found the blood of all that were slain”. Revelation 18 v 24. Unless the Premier gets speedy repentance, we fear that it will mean the setting of his political star.
