Theological Conference — September 9th and 10th, 1975
The Theological Conference will be held, the Lord willing, on the 9th and 10th September, in the Dingwall Church. As formerly the Conference is for ministers, office-bearers, male-communicants, and congregational treasurers.
The following papers will be given, and discussion will follow each in turn.
Tuesday, 9th September:
The Ba’Hai Faith — Mr D. MacCuish, Inverness.
Expository Preaching — Rev. R.R. Sinclair, Wick.
Wednesday, 10th September:
Dispensationalism — Rev. E. Rayner, B.A., Aberdeen.
The Call to the Ministry — Rev. I.R. Tallach, Perth.
Present State of the Roman Catholic Church — Rev. D. MacLean, Glasgow.
The last paper will be given in public at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, 10th September, the Lord willing.

Aberdeen Church Opening
A good number of friends gathered to the church opening on 30th May. Rev. L. MacLeod, Greenock, preached most appropriately from Proverbs 8:34; “Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.” The sermon was particularly suited to the young. The three main points of the sermon were: (1) The One who speaks in the text (Christ); (2) The great importance of hearing Him. Apart from hearing Him we cannot be blessed. Only those who hear Him speaking in the Word and gospel are blessed; (3) Some things that are true concerning those that hear Him. The great importance of watching daily in private and attending the public means of grace was mentioned. Ambassadors for Christ speak to sinners on behalf of Christ to the extent that Christ says, “he that heareth you heareth me and he that despiseth you despiseth me.”
It was encouraging to have local visitors as well as those from a distance, from Inverness, Dingwall, Fearn, Edinburgh, Laide, Skye, Caithness and even New Zealand. It was a pleasure not only to have Rev.
and Mrs Colquhoun present, but to hear Mr Colquhoun speak during the concluding remarks following the sermon.
May the Lord make this new place of worship to be a Bethel to many.
