In the reference to Rev. Neil MacIntyre on page 235 of the Church History, it is said that his mother was Mary MacMaster, sister of the eminent Donald MacMaster, Strontian. A reader who has connections with that family informs us that he could find no trace of a Mary among them. Further inquiry, however, led to the discovery that Mr MacIntyre had a godly uncle called Donald MacMaster who spent most of his life in Corpach and was an elder in the Free Church at Kilmallie. He died in 1919. From the information given by our correspondent, there appears little doubt that it was this Donald MacMaster who was Mr MacIntyre’s uncle. Any reader who can confirm this, or anyone able to dispute it, should get in touch with Rev. A. McPherson, F.P. Manse, Errogie, Inverness.
