At a meeting of Presbytery it was proposed and decided to write to our fellow labourers in the mission field to convey to you our prayerful good wishes in these perilous times. Whilst we refer to your part of the vineyard as the mission field, we are very conscious of the fact that our own field of labour is very much a mission area. Australia and New Zealand together with Rhodesia and every part of this globe where sinners live, are in need of the Holy Spirit to convince of sin and to reveal the things of Christ.
You of course have your peculiar difficulties at this time. We seek to remember you at the throne of grace and pray that the Lord in His over-ruling providence would soon cause a political solution to emerge which will secure favourable conditions for the advancement of the gospel of peace. “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear”. (Heb. 12:28).
With warmest regards and Christian greetings.
