Church Notes

Perth Communion

We wish to intimate that, God willing, we hope to hold a communion in Perth on the last Sabbath of August (27th). The minister who is to assist is Rev. R. R. Sinclair, Wick (D.V.).

Dundee

From its inception, the Dundee congregation has met in the Brook Street Y.M.C.A., Broughty Ferry. It has been felt for some time that a meeting place nearer the centre of the city would be more suitable. Such a place has now been found, and services are to commence there from the first Sabbath of July. The new address is: Y.W.C.A., 27 Crichton Street, Dundee. We trust that this move, under the blessing of God, will be to the benefit of the congregation.

Theological Conference

The Conference will be held this year in Inverness on Tuesday and Wednesday, 5th and 6th September, the Lord willing. The speakers and the papers are expected to be as follows:—
* Tuesday, 2.30 p.m. — “The Doctrine of the Person of Christ and some attendant heresies” — Rev. Alexander Murray, M.A., Applecross.
* Tuesday, 7 p.m. — “The letters of John Hus” — Rev. John M. Brentnall, B.A., Dumbarton.
* Wednesday, 10 a.m. — “The Arminian Heresy Today” — Rev. John W. Ross, Lochcarron.
* Wednesday, 2.30 p.m. — “Missionary Principles in the Modern World” — Rev. John Tallach, M.A., Kinlochbervie.
* Wednesday, 7 p.m. — “Religious Experience” — Rev. Donald M. Campbell, Shieldaig.

The paper on Wednesday evening will be in public.

The chairman this year will be Rev. Donald Maclean, Glasgow.
