The Synod have instructed that this letter should be printed in the F.P. Magazine for the interest of our readers and the encouragement of any teacher who may be faced with the difficult position in which Mr Watson found himself when he was dismissed for teaching the Biblical truth about the opening chapters of Genesis.
Rev. Donald MacLean
Clerk of Synod
Synod of the Free Presbyterian
Church of Scotland

Dear Mr MacLean,
As Mr Thomasson promised in his letter of 10 February, your letter to the Secretary of State for Scotland regarding the dismissal of Mr D. C. C. Watson was placed before the Executive Committee when it met recently.
The Executive noted the terms of your letter and asked me to say that they did not think that such a thing could happen in Scotland.
If, however, one of our members were ever threatened with dismissal over such an issue, the full resources of the Institute would be employed to assist him. — Yours Sincerely,
Frederick L. Forrester,
Organising Secretary.
