In view of the retirement on 31st December 1979 of Miss Jean Nicolson, M.A., the Committee wish to hear from suitably qualified persons who may wish to apply for appointment to this important and rewarding position in the Church’s Mission. – a) the regime in Rhodesia is an illegal one in rebellion against the Crown;
– b) consular protection is not available in Rhodesia; and
– c) the illegal regime has declared a state of emergency and all adult European men resident in Rhodesia are subject to indefinite periods of call-up for compulsory service in the armed forces.”
