The Synod at its meeting in May, 1980, passed a resolution calling upon congregations throughout the church to remember Zimbabwe Mission in a special way at prayer-meetings held during the first week in September (DV), to thank God for help in the recent past and to pray for His continued blessing in the years ahead.
Staff for Zimbabwe Mission
Teachers are urgently required, especially of Science and Mathematics, at the beginning of next School Session at John Tallach School, Ingwenya. Also, Registered Nurse/Midwives are required for the Mbuma Hospital. Applicants should contact the Rev. A. Theological Conference
This year’s Conference will be held in Inverness God willing, the dates being Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September. It is hoped that the following papers will be read:—

- Some moral problems of modern medicine — Dr Roy MacCuish
- The Christian and Evolution — Dr D. MacSween Ph.D
- The Pastoral Epistles — Rev. John MacLeod M.A.
5) Dr Thomas Chalmers — Rev. Neil Ross, B.A.
It is expected that the last named paper will be in public and that Rev. A. Murray M.A. will act as Chairman at the Conference (DV).
