NO CONDEMNATION by Octavius Winslow, Banner of Truth Trust, £3.95.
This paperback contains 35 chapters which cover the whole of Romans Chapter 8. The exposition of this chapter of God’s Word is searching but also contains much that is of encouragement to the true believer. Those acquainted with his writings will expect from him something that is very edifying on this precious portion of the Word of God and they will not be disappointed. We warmly recommend this paperback as a book from which readers may expect to derive much spiritual benefit. On page 143 there is a suggestion that the resurrection of the just will precede the resurrection of the unjust. This appears to be an error of pre-millenarianism. On page 287 it is stated that “the saints of God, by an act of Sovereign grace become divine” — rather it should be “partakers of the divine nature” to which he afterwards refers.
