Committee Meetings (D.V.)
The Church Committee Meetings will be held in Inverness on Tuesday 22nd March and Wednesday 23rd March (D.V.). A full notice will appear in the March issue of the Magazine.
Ordination and Induction at London
On Thursday evening, the 16th December, 1993, the Southern Presbytery met in the London Church to ordain and induct Rev Keith Watkins. Probably for the first time since the Varden Street building had been our property, it was practically full. Some of those from other churches were known to the congregation, but there were many who were strangers, some of whom afterwards said that they had been very impressed by the service.
As expected, no objections followed the reading of the Proclamation, and Rev. Donald MacLean conducted public worship. The text was, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake,” (2 Cor. 4: 5). The sermon was very appropriate.
