Free Presbyterian Publications

Sales of The Westminster Confession of Faith continue to be encouraging. So much so that the hardback edition had to be reprinted at the end of last year after only some eighteen months. It is now available with a genuine cloth binding at £12.50. The printing in 1994 included a quantity bound in paperback (still available at £6.95) and used the edition of S W Carruthers earlier this century. Following the work of his father and B B Warfield, Carruthers devoted considerable effort to ascertaining the original text of the Confession of Faith, free from the misprints which had crept into successive editions over the years. A reprint of the booklet edition has also become necessary and should be available (at £1.50) before this issue of the magazine appears. It has been reset and now contains all the Scripture references.

It is hoped that a new biography of Rev J B Radasi, the founder of the Free Presbyterian Mission in Zimbabwe, by Miss Jean Nicolson, will appear during the spring, DV. Miss Nicolson herself spent many useful years on the Mission in Zimbabwe, and has written the book with young people especially in mind. A reprint of the book for young children, The Peep of Day, is also planned.

Other forthcoming titles include Alexander Stewart’s excellent book on the types and sacrifices of the old testament, The Tree of Promise. A significant new biographical introduction is being prepared for it by Mr Roy Middleton. Also under preparation is a collection of the writings of the late Rev Donald Beaton.
