Induction of Rev K D Macleod to Inverness Congregation

The Northern Presbytery met in the Inverness church on the evening of Friday, March 3 for the induction of Rev K D Macleod to the charge of Inverness. About 400 people were present. The Moderator, Rev Neil Ross, preached from Ephesians 4:8: “Wherefore He saith, When He ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men”. Mr Macleod answered the appointed questions and signed the Formula in the presence of the congregation. Rev Wilfred Weale addressed the newly inducted minister, and Rev Douglas Somerset, the former Interim Moderator, exhorted the congregation. Refreshments were kindly provided by the congregation at the Drumossie Hotel, and presentations were made. The Inverness charge has been vacant for just over two years. We are thankful to the Most High that it is now filled, and we pray for His blessing upon Mr Macleod’s labours.

(Rev) D W B Somerset, Clerk of Presbytery
